Welcome to the Adult Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Department!

We are based in Suite 5 therapy services department. We provide services to individuals with acquired speech, language, voice or swallowing disorders. At Chesterfield Royal Hospital our team of specialist SLTs provide both inpatient and outpatient services. Speech and Language Therapy aims to promote independence and improve quality of life by facilitating functional communication and eating and drinking skills.

 

As a team we aim to provide the most appropriate, effective therapeutic and rehabilitative intervention to meet the needs of individuals referred to us, promoting and maximizing functional communication and facilitating eating, drinking and swallowing skills.

All qualified staff are HCPC and Royal College of Speech & Language Therapy (RCSLT) registered.
